Once you have uploaded and verified the new supplier prices above, use this button to bake them permanently into the HTML file. The tool downloads a new version of itself with the updated prices built in. Replace the file on the server with this new version and all staff will get the new prices automatically next time they open the tool.
How to publish updated prices — step by step
1. Upload the new supplier CSV or XLSX file using the boxes above. Check the confirmation message shows the prices have updated. 2. Click Download updated tool file below. A new abacus_v4_final.html will download to your Downloads folder. 3. Go to the Quoting Tool folder on the server. 4. Rename the existing file to abacus_v4_final_OLD.html as a backup. 5. Copy the newly downloaded file into the server folder. 6. Tell your colleagues to close and reopen the tool — they will now have the updated prices. 7. Once happy everything is working, delete the OLD backup file.
